Malaysia Airlines and Qantas Airways will launch a codeshare partnership.
The two carriers will mutually place their codes on 18 Qantas domestic routes within Australia, as well as on Malaysia Airlines’ routes to/from Australia and its domestic routes within Malaysia.
The arrangement coincides with Malaysia Airlines’ significant expansion of its Australia network. Malaysia Airlines will resume five weekly roundtrips on the Kuala Lumpur–Brisbane route from November 29. It will also increase frequencies on the Kuala Lumpur–Melbourne, –Sydney, –Perth, and –Adelaide routes.
