JR East to run retro-wrapped Yamanote Line trains in Tokyo for 100th anniversary
Four JR group companies in Japan will link their online reservation services.
JR East’s “Ekinet”, JR Central’s “EX Service”, JR West’s “e5489”, and JR Kyushu’s “JR Kyushu Internet Train Reservation Service” will be mutually linked. In addition to introducing single sign-on, users will be able to view reservation information from the other services as well.
Integration between “EX Service” and “e5489” is planned during fiscal 2026 in Japan, with the other combinations to follow sequentially from fiscal 2027 onward. Ahead of this, a service enabling mutual login authentication between “EX Service” and “e5489” will launch on October 4.
