Japan Airlines (JAL) launched its “Mile de Experience” service on September 22 and is offering mileage redemption for MLB postseason tickets.
Eligible games are Wild Card Series Games 1 and 2; Division Series Games 1 to 3; League Championship Series Games 1 to 4; and World Series Games 1 to 7. A total of 338 tickets are available. Required miles per ticket are: 15,000 for the Wild Card; 20,000 for the American League (AL) Division Series; 25,000 for the National League (NL) Division Series; 35,000 for the AL Championship Series; 40,000 for the NL Championship Series; and 80,000 for the World Series. If the World Series champion is decided by Game 4 and Games 5 to 7 are not held, miles will be refunded.
Redemptions for the Wild Card Series and Division Series have already begun, while those for the League Championship Series and World Series will start from 5:00 p.m. on September 29. JAL Mileage Bank membership is required.
The airline has also run a lottery for MLB World Series tickets for users of its JAL Mall, JAL “Totteoki no Ippin” (Select Gifts), and “In-Flight Shopping at Home” services in Japan.
