Mitsui Sumitomo Card in Japan began accepting applications for the Mitsui Sumitomo Card Visa Infinite on September 30.
The annual fee is 99,000 yen for the primary cardholder, and additional family cards are free. The base reward rate is 1.0%, rising to up to 20% at eligible convenience stores and restaurants in Japan. If your total spending in the previous year is at least 4,000,000 yen, you receive an additional 40,000 points; at least 7,000,000 yen, an additional 110,000 points.
As a sign-up and usage bonus, spending a total of at least 1,000,000 yen by the end of the month three months after joining earns 100,000 points.
Benefits include a concierge service, Priority Pass (Prestige membership), SHARE LOUNGE gift tickets, hotel status matches, and access to cardmember-exclusive original events.
The card design is available only in grayish brown for now, with a metal card planned for release in fiscal 2026 (issuance fee: 33,000 yen, tax included).
