Thai VietJet Air will launch the Tokyo/Narita, Japan – Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi, Thailand route on January 16, 2026 (Tokyo/Narita departures begin the following day).
The launch had initially been planned for December 15, but the start of service was postponed due to changes to the introduction schedule for new aircraft.
The airline will operate one round-trip per day using Airbus A321 aircraft. Flight time is 7 hours 35 minutes from Tokyo/Narita and 6 hours from Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi.
Between Tokyo/Narita and Bangkok, Thai Airways International, Japan Airlines (JAL), All Nippon Airways (ANA), ZIPAIR Tokyo, and AirJapan operate to and from Suvarnabhumi, while Thai AirAsia X operates to and from Don Mueang.
