View Card in Japan launched instant issuance (virtual card) for the ‘View Card Standard’ on September 17.
It can be issued in as little as 5 minutes after applying, the card number can be checked in the View Card app, and it can be used the same day for Mobile Suica top-ups, commuter pass purchases, and ticket purchases on Ekinet (JR East). Instant-issuance hours are 8:20 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; you can choose JCB, Visa, or Mastercard as the international brand; the plastic card will be mailed later; and on eligible transactions you can earn up to 5% JRE POINT via ‘VIEW Plus’ starting on the day you join.
From September 17 to November 30, a sign-up campaign awards up to 10,000 points (JRE POINT) for new enrollment, usage, and setting up a JRE BANK account. In addition, for cards enrolled via instant issuance, there is a campaign to award up to 20% back in points when topping up Mobile Suica via Apple Pay.
From September 17 to November 30, new users of Ekinet can receive up to 30,000 points by lottery. If payment is made with a card enrolled via instant issuance, there is a second-chance campaign that grants 5,000 points even if you miss out on the main benefit.
Through January 31, 2026, those who spend a total of 30,000 yen or more (tax included) are eligible for a campaign that awards a prize selected by lottery. Cards enrolled via instant issuance have 10 times the odds of winning.
