Jetstar Japan has decided to cancel two flights on December 26th due to crew scheduling issues.
According to the Jetstar Crew Association (JCA), two round-trip flights, GK417/414, on the Tokyo/Narita-Kagawa route will be canceled due to crew scheduling. The company states that these cancellations are due to ill health and not a result of any strikes.
Additionally, the Tokyo/Narita-Kagoshima route’s GK625/626 flights will operate with a delay of 1 hour and 5 minutes. The GK625 flight to Kagoshima is scheduled to arrive at 8:15 PM, while the GK626 flight to Tokyo/Narita is expected to arrive at 10:35 PM.
The JCA, a labor union composed of pilots and cabin crew members, was established in July 2018. They entered into a designated strike on the 22nd after negotiations broke down on the night of the 21st. Although there were cancellations of two flights each on the 24th and 25th, the JCA announced the strikes’ impact, while the company reported illness as the cause here.
