IndiGo launches Mumbai–London Heathrow route on October 26
Riyadh Air will open the Riyadh–London/Heathrow route on October 26, marking its inaugural service.
The airline will operate one round trip per day with Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Initially, tickets will be sold to certain groups and employees, and before taking delivery of aircraft from Boeing, the carrier will make use of Heathrow Airport slots while establishing its operational readiness. Service to Dubai is also planned.
Riyadh Air also announced its loyalty program, “Sfeer.” Members will receive benefits such as priority access to ticket sales and special experiences. Early registrants will be welcomed into an exclusive group called “The Founders.”
Riyadh Air is an airline backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and has placed aircraft orders with both Boeing and Airbus.
