
Malaysia Airlines to deploy A330-900neo on Tokyo/Narita–Kuala Lumpur from Oct 8
The Lufthansa Group has disclosed the retirement timeline for six aircraft types.
It will retire the Airbus A340-600, Airbus A330-200, and Boeing 767-300 by 2026; the Boeing 747-400 and Airbus A340-300 by 2027; and the Boeing 777-200 by 2028.
Among these, the four types—Airbus A340-300, Airbus A340-600, Airbus A330-200, and Boeing 747-400—are planned to be retired in 2024, as previously revealed.
With the introduction of new aircraft, the fleet will reach 814 by 2030, and the share of next-generation aircraft will double to 57%. The widebody share will expand by 3 percentage points to 28%.
