The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau of Industrial and Labor Affairs announced on October 10 that it will conduct a hearing prior to imposing an administrative disposition on Yukatsu Kokusai, pursuant to Article 65, Paragraph 1 of Japan’s Travel Agency Act.
Although a new registration application for the Travel Services Arrangement Business was submitted on June 14, a review of the application found that the Certified Travel Services Manager at Yukatsu Kokusai is the same individual as the Certified Travel Services Manager at Hakuyu Kanko, which is registered as a travel agency with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Under the law, concurrent service by a Certified Travel Services Manager is not permitted, and the government therefore plans to refuse the registration pursuant to Article 26, Paragraph 1 of the Travel Agency Act.
The hearing will be held on October 21 in Conference Room 19A on the 19th floor of Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1.
