Far East Hospitality opens two Far East Village hotels in Osaka, Japan
The Westin Miyako Kyoto (Kyoto, Japan) will offer the “Kyoto Winter Bounty” buffet from November 1 through December 31.
In November, the menu highlights Kyoto ingredients, such as freshly scooped yuba made from Kyoto-grown soybeans topped with salmon roe; crab and leafy greens dressed in chrysanthemum “kikka-ae” style; dashi shabu of Kyotamba Highland pork loin; and sukiyaki-style domestic beef with Kyoto-style grilled tofu. In December, winter flavors take center stage with sansho-roasted duck breast, deep-fried fugu (pufferfish), sake-steamed monkfish liver with ponzu ankake, turnip cream pasta, and Kyoto-style oden. The live kitchen prepares nigiri sushi, tempura, and roast beef. Desserts include strawberry shortcake, olive tea panna cotta, carrot cake, and strawberry-pistachio cake.
