Malaysia Airlines to increase frequencies and upgauge on five routes
British Airways will expand the London/Heathrow–Delhi route to three daily round-trips.
Subject to regulatory approval, additional frequency increases are planned for 2026. It currently operates two daily round-trips using Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 aircraft.
British Airways will reintroduce First Class on the London/Heathrow–Mumbai route, and in 2026 plans to roll out its new Business Class on select flights across all five India routes. The airline currently operates 56 weekly round-trips to India, making India its second-largest market after the United States. About 2,500 employees work in India.
On October 7, about 130 top UK business leaders and government officials traveled to Mumbai, India, on a British Airways charter flight and expressed their commitment to strengthening trade and business ties between the two countries. A free trade agreement between the United Kingdom and India was signed in July.
