Austrian Airlines will begin trial operations on the Vienna–Dubai route from December 1.
Instead of long-haul aircraft, the carrier will deploy Airbus A320neo aircraft—previously suspended from service during the winter season—to enter this new market. The flight time is 5 hours 35 minutes from Vienna and 6 hours 20 minutes from Dubai.
While in-flight meals will be provided, in-flight entertainment will not be available. Aiming to attract price-sensitive travelers, round-trip fares start from EUR 314. The trial period runs through March 27, 2026, after which future operations will be determined based on the results.
