Uber Japan has launched the ride-hailing service “Uber Premium” in the Fukuoka area on October 8.
“Uber Premium” dispatches premium vehicles such as the Alphard, Vellfire, and GranAce. It can accommodate up to five passengers with ample luggage space, making it popular among international visitors. In Japan, this marks the sixth city rollout following Tokyo, Narita, Kyoto, Osaka, and Sapporo.
The service area covers Fukuoka Prefecture: Fukuoka City, Kasuga City, Onojo City, Chikushino City, Dazaifu City, Koga City, Itoshima City, Kasuya District, and Nakagawa City.
Select Premium on the vehicle type selection screen in the app to request a ride. The “Uber One” subscription is also available, offering matching with highly rated drivers and applicable discounts.
