HK Express will expand its “Intermodal Bus” service to Macau from November 28.
Customers will be able to make a single booking that combines HK Express flights to and from Hong Kong with a bus linking Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and Macau. The service is provided in partnership with Shun Tak–China Travel Ship Management and Hong Kong Airport Direct. The buses will carry HK Express flight numbers and operate 18 round trips per day between HKIA’s SkyPier Terminal and Macau. The journey takes about 45 minutes.
At Hong Kong International Airport, the Airport Departure Tax will be waived. If customers miss their connecting flight, ferry, or bus, automatic rebooking will be available. There is no additional carry-on baggage fee for the bus.
With this expansion, the land and sea intermodal network will cover six major cities in China’s Greater Bay Area: Macau, Zhuhai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, and Dongguan.
