Japan Airlines (JAL) has set an extra flight on the Tokyo/Haneda-Kagoshima route for tomorrow, December 30.
This comes as a result of the cancellation of two round trips on the Tokyo/Narita-Kagoshima route by Jetstar Japan, due to a strike by members of the Jetstar Crew Association union. The flights will be operated with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft configured for international flights.
Jetstar Japan is advising affected reservation holders to either (1) transfer to another flight of the company, (2) get a refund, or (3) book and purchase ordinary seats on other airlines’ flights, including those of the JAL Group, or ground public transportation excluding taxis, and will refund the full amount used. They will also cover up to 8,000 yen for accommodations if an overnight stay becomes necessary.
As of now, both flights on the Tokyo/Narita-Kagoshima route by Jetstar Japan on December 30 are fully booked. Furthermore, flights from Tokyo/Haneda to Kagoshima operated by Japan Airlines (JAL), All Nippon Airways (ANA), and Solaseed Air are also fully booked. There are seats available on the extra flight scheduled by JAL.
