AirJapan will take delivery of its third Boeing 787-8 aircraft (registration: JA802A) to operate under the AirJapan brand.
The ferry flight, NH9414, is scheduled to depart Xiamen at 1:15 a.m. on November 22 and arrive at Tokyo/Narita at 6:00 a.m. the same day. The arrival stand is yet to be determined.
The final operation under the ANA brand was NH878 from Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi to Tokyo/Haneda on October 14, after which the aircraft ferried to Xiamen on the 15th for modification work.
The cabin features an all-economy 3-3-3 configuration with 324 seats. The seats are made of synthetic leather, with a 32-inch pitch comparable to the economy class of full-service carriers (FSCs). Every seat is equipped with USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports.
AirJapan began operations in February 2024 and operates three routes: Tokyo/Narita–Singapore, Bangkok/Suvarnabhumi, and Seoul/Incheon.
On October 30, ANA Holdings announced that, citing the prolonged Russia–Ukraine war and delays in aircraft deliveries, it will end operations as of March 28, 2026.
