Japan Airlines (JAL) Group to hold ‘JALunLun Black Friday 2025’ Nov 18–30
Emirates and Safran have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a manufacturing and seat assembly facility in Dubai.
Initially, it will focus on business- and economy-class seat refurbishment projects, with plans to expand to line-fit in the future.
The initiative aims to meet growing demand for seat production and improve efficiency by leveraging the latest technologies. In addition to Emirates, it will have the capability to serve other Safran Seats customers. Safran is supplying seats for Emirates’ retrofit program as well as for Airbus A350 aircraft.
The new facility is planned for completion by the fourth quarter of 2027 and is expected to cover approximately 20,000 to 25,000 square meters. Initially, it will be able to supply up to 1,000 business-class seats per year, with capacity to be ramped up in stages.
