Jetstar Japan announced that it will operate almost a normal schedule tomorrow, except for a few flights.
The development follows the Jetstar Crew Association (JCA), a labor union, deciding to call off the strike due to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake, after initially being on strike. Read more about the full cancellation here.
Originally, eight flights were scheduled to be canceled, but six have been renamed and will operate as planned. The remaining two flights will be canceled, affecting approximately 300 passengers.
The JCA is a labor union consisting of pilots and cabin crew members, formed in July 2018. They had been conducting a “soft strike” by refusing requests for work changes since December 1. After failing to reach an agreement in negotiations by the evening of the 21st, they entered a designated strike on the 22nd. Negotiations on the 1st of this month also ended without agreement.
