JR East View Tourism & Sales has begun selling ski tour packages that use the special overnight train “Omoide no Spur.”
The tour is a 2-day/1-night itinerary departing on January 30, 2026. After leaving Ofuna Station, the train will run via Yokohama and Shinjuku stations, arriving at Echigo-Yuzawa Station the following morning. Four plans are available: packages including shuttle service and a one-day lift ticket for GALA Yuzawa Snow Resort, Kandatsu Snow Resort, or Kagura Ski Resort, as well as a free-plan stay in Echigo-Yuzawa. Return transportation is not included.
Prices start from 12,000 yen per adult. Window seats and Green Car reserved-seat plans are also available. The tours are sold on the website “Travel in Japan, Rail Travel.”
