AirAsia to Allow Female Cabin Crew to Wear Hijabs Under New Uniform Policy
India’s low-cost carrier IndiGo has issued an apology, stating that a large number of flight cancellations have continued over several days.
The disruption stems from the airline’s insufficient response to the tightening of crew duty time regulations, and some passengers have reportedly been staging protests at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, India.
To normalize operations, IndiGo will implement short-term planned cancellations. For travel between December 5 and 15, cancellation and change fees will be waived. The airline is arranging several thousand hotel rooms and ground transportation in cities across India, and will provide light meals at airports. It also plans to arrange lounge access for elderly passengers.
