Turkish Airlines has resumed flights on the Istanbul–Sulaymaniyah route from November 2.
The airline operates four round trips per week, with departures from Istanbul on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and departures from Sulaymaniyah on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. From March 27, 2026, the service will be increased to daily flights. The route is operated with Boeing 737 aircraft. The flight time is 2 hours and 40 minutes from Istanbul and 3 hours from Sulaymaniyah.
In Iraq, Sulaymaniyah becomes the sixth destination served by Turkish Airlines, following Baghdad, Basra, Erbil, Kirkuk, and Najaf.
