The ‘End’ of JGC Training: The True Aim Revealed in JAL Global Club’s Revamp [Column]
Japan Airlines (JAL) will begin partial early implementation of the “JAL Pay Mile-Up Program” from around 2:00 p.m. on December 19. The program was originally scheduled to start on November 1 but had been postponed due to various circumstances.
The elements to be launched ahead of the full rollout are changes to the mileage accrual rate for use at designated affiliated merchants. For payments made with ANA Pay, au PAY, ICOCA, IDARE, nanaco, PASMO, Suica, WAON, Kumamon! Pay, Vandle Card, OneBank, V Point Pay, and other similar services, the accrual rate will be reduced to 1 mile per 1,000 yen.
The “Mile-Up Program” is a scheme under which the mileage accrual rate increases depending on how frequently customers use JAL Pay and JAL NEOBANK.
