Airdo New Year’s First Sunrise Flight from New Chitose to Offer Free Round-Trip Tickets to Cheongju, South Korea

Japanese airline Airdo and Japan Air Travel Marketing will give all passengers on the “First Sunrise Scenic Flight from New Chitose Airport on New Year’s Day”, scheduled for January 1, 2026, a complimentary round-trip air ticket to Cheongju, South Korea.

The first sunrise flight, planned for New Year’s Day 2026, will depart from Sapporo/New Chitose at 5:50 a.m., allow passengers to view the first sunrise of the year over Cape Erimo, and return to Sapporo/New Chitose at 7:25 a.m. The flight will be operated with a Boeing 737-700 aircraft.

Originally, the tour benefits included an original boarding certificate, a desk calendar, and New Year’s commemorative Japanese sweets. To these, a complimentary round-trip ticket from Tokyo/Narita or Sapporo/New Chitose to Cheongju has now been added. All benefits will be distributed at check-in for the first sunrise flight.

The complimentary round-trip ticket will be on Aero K Airlines, valid for travel between March 2 and April 30, 2026. Fuel surcharges and various taxes are required separately. Reservations must be made at least three weeks before the departure date. Tickets cannot be reused after changes or cancellations.

The tour price ranges from 38,000 yen to 74,000 yen. The minimum number of participants is 50. Reservations will be accepted until December 25 via the Japan Air Travel Marketing website.
