Heathrow Airport to Invest £1.3 Billion in 2026 for Terminal Upgrades and Accessibility Improvements
Japan Airlines (JAL) will close the “Diamond Premier Lounge” and “Sakura Lounge” in the North Wing of Terminal 1 at Tokyo Haneda Airport from today, January 13.
After refurbishment, the airline plans to reopen the lounges around October. During the renovation period, JAL is encouraging passengers to use the lounges that remain in operation. If access restrictions are imposed due to congestion and passengers are unable to use a lounge, JAL will distribute an electronic coupon worth 1,000 yen. Congestion status will be viewable on the airline’s website. The coupon reception counter will be set up between Boarding Gates 15 and 16.
In addition, JAL will sequentially refurbish the lounges and the dedicated check-in counters and security checkpoints for First Class and JAL Global Club (JGC) passengers in the South Wing. The closure periods and reopening schedules will be announced in due course.
