Air India will deploy a Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring the new cabin configuration on its Mumbai–Frankfurt route starting February 1.
This is a newly delivered aircraft that arrived in Delhi on January 12. It is configured with a total of 296 seats across three classes: Business Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class.
Air India will introduce six wide-body aircraft this year. Of the existing Boeing 787-8 aircraft, 26 will be progressively refurbished and repainted with the new livery. Most of the refurbishment work is expected to be completed within the year.
