Turkish Airlines will launch its Istanbul–Yerevan route on March 11.
The airline will operate one round trip per day, increasing to 10 round trips per week from May 14, and to two round trips per day from June 15. The route will be operated with Boeing 737 aircraft. The flight time is 2 hours 15 minutes from Istanbul and 2 hours 35 minutes from Yerevan.
Yerevan is the capital of Armenia and is considered one of the oldest cities in the world. Armenia is rich in tourism resources, including UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites, and also has a well-developed IT industry. Turkish Airlines expects demand from both tourists and business travelers.
