AirAsia will launch a new Osaka/Kansai–Kaohsiung–Kuala Lumpur route on June 15.
The airline will operate one round trip per day, using Airbus A320 aircraft. The flight time is 8 hours and 40 minutes from Osaka/Kansai, and 8 hours and 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. This will be an extension of the existing Kuala Lumpur–Kaohsiung route.
This is AirAsia’s second fifth freedom route serving Japan, following the Fukuoka–Taipei/Taoyuan–Kota Kinabalu route. The existing route is performing well, with an average load factor exceeding 90 percent.
To commemorate the launch, AirAsia will offer special one-way all-in fares on the Osaka/Kansai–Kaohsiung sector starting from 11,900 yen. The travel period is from June 15 to October 24.
