Airbnb has launched its “Book Now, Pay Later” service in Japan.
The service covers accommodations around the world whose cancellation policies are set to “Moderate” or “Flexible,” and no payment is required at the time of booking. Guests must pay the full amount by the end of the free cancellation period.
The service was first rolled out in the United States in the summer of 2025. It is available to all users except those paying in Brazilian real, Indian rupee, or Turkish lira.
