Tobu Tower Skytree Co., Ltd. will keep Tokyo Skytree temporarily closed on February 24 as well.
Around 8:15 p.m. on February 22, two elevators connecting the 4th floor with the Tembo Deck (main observation deck) stopped. Twenty visitors were on board one of the elevators, and they remained trapped until around 2:02 a.m. on the following day, February 23. Operations have been suspended today, February 23, to conduct a full inspection of all elevators.
Visitors holding reservations for February 23 and 24 will have their observation deck admission fees refunded.
