
Sado Kisen to End Car Ferry Onboard Cafeterias and Expand Port Dining Services
Jumbo Ferry installed a rest booth called “Chotto Koma” on February 2 in the waiting area at Takamatsu East Port in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan.
This is a paid rest space available to passengers boarding Jumbo Ferry. Departing passengers can use it before boarding, and arriving passengers can use it after disembarking. The area is divided into separate sections for men and women, with curtains installed at the booth entrances, and electrical outlets are fully equipped.
The available hours are as follows: for departures from Kobe, Service 1 is from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.; Services 2 and 3 are from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the following day; Service 4 is from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. For departures from Takamatsu, Service 1 is from 5:30 p.m. on the previous day to 12:45 a.m. on the day of departure; Service 2 is from 5:30 p.m. on the previous day to 5:45 a.m. on the day of departure; and Services 3 and 4 are from 5:30 p.m. on the previous day to 8:00 a.m. on the day of departure.
The fees are 1,500 yen for Kobe departure Service 1; 2,500 yen for Kobe departure Service 4 and Takamatsu departure Service 1; and 3,000 yen for Kobe departure Services 2 and 3 and Takamatsu departure Services 2, 3, and 4. Passengers using premium seats receive a 500-yen discount. Booth reservations are accepted on the website after booking the ferry.
