Hokkaido Airports will revise and introduce passenger facility charges and other related fees at three airports—Sapporo/Chitose, Hakodate, and Asahikawa—from June 1.
At New Chitose Airport (near Sapporo), the passenger service facility charge for international departing passengers will be set at 3,000 yen for adults (currently 2,610 yen) and 1,500 yen for children (currently 1,300 yen). In addition, a 650-yen passenger security service fee will be collected from international departing passengers.
At Hakodate Airport in Hokkaido, a passenger service facility charge will be collected from domestic departing and arriving passengers, set at 430 yen for adults and 210 yen for children, and from international departing passengers, set at 1,200 yen for adults and 600 yen for children.
At Asahikawa Airport in Hokkaido, a passenger service facility charge will be collected from domestic departing and arriving passengers, set at 360 yen for adults and 180 yen for children, and from international departing passengers, set at 2,000 yen for adults and 1,000 yen for children.
The new charges will apply to tickets issued and purchased on or after June 1, and in all cases they will be collected at the time of airline ticket purchase.
