Meitetsu Revises Redevelopment Schedule for Nagoya Station Area and Meitetsu Nagoya Station
Tokyo Metro will display special advertisements themed on the Pokémon “Ditto” on the Hanzomon Line, to coincide with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 game “Poko a Pokémon.”
The collaboration was realized by focusing on the commonality between Ditto’s body color and the Hanzomon Line’s route color, as well as the affinity between the names “Metamon” (Ditto’s Japanese name) and “Hanzō-mon.” Combining Ditto’s specialty of “transformation” with spatial productions that make use of railway spaces, the project is designed so that people can experience Ditto’s unique character both in stations and inside train cars.
Inside two trainsets of the Series 18000 rolling stock, passengers will be greeted by “Ditto transformed into a human form,” which appears in “Poko a Pokémon.” A special design “Hanzomon Line” logo, renamed the “Hanzomon Line (Hanzō-Mon Line)” mark with Ditto transformed into the Hanzomon Line route symbol, will be unveiled, and Ditto will appear in various locations throughout station premises such as platforms and concourses at Oshiage (Skytree-mae) Station, Hanzomon Station, and Shibuya Station.
The display period for in-station advertisements is from March 2 to 8, with only some of the ads at Shibuya Station running until March 15. The in-train advertisements will be displayed from March 2 to 15.
