
Hotel Granvia Kyoto Strawberry Sweets Buffet, January 9 to May 6
Kagoshima Arc City opened “Hotel Gran Cerezo Kagoshima Tenmonkan” on March 10.
The building has 14 floors. The hotel provides a total of 151 guest rooms in 13 types, including Standard Double, Cabin Twin, Universal Room, and Gran Cerezo Twin with a view of Sakurajima. All rooms are equipped with TVs of 43 inches or larger with screen-mirroring functions. Ladies’ rooms are furnished with beauty appliances and skincare items, while long-stay rooms come with a microwave and refrigerator-freezer.
Inside the hotel, there are working desks, a multipurpose room, and coin-operated laundry facilities. The large public bath with an observation area offers views of Sakurajima and uses artificial carbonated hot spring water. Facilities include a sauna and cold bath for men, and a waterfall-style shower bath (utase-yu) for women. The restaurant “Satsuma Saizen Kizuna” serves a breakfast buffet featuring dishes such as Kagoshima Kurobuta (black pork) shabu-shabu, chicken rice (keihan), seasonal vegetables produced in Kagoshima Prefecture, and local specialties. To commemorate the opening, a breakfast-included accommodation plan is available for stays through April 30. Room rates start from 5,195 yen per person (tax included), based on double occupancy. Staying guests will receive Bontan Ame (a Japanese citrus-flavored soft candy) and authentic shochu “Sakurajima” as gifts.
Access: approximately a 5-minute walk from Tenmonkandori tram stop, and about 20 minutes by car from the Kagoshima Interchange (IC) on the Kyushu Expressway.
