Belluna to Acquire Kussharo Prince Hotel in Hokkaido
Hotel Keihan Asakusa will begin renovation work on the entire building in December 2025 and will fully refurbish the guestroom area in April.
In the renovation, Japanese and Western styles are fused, incorporating a Taisho Roman (early 20th century Japanese romanticism) aesthetic into a Western-style space. The guestrooms will feature separate bath, toilet, and washbasin areas, indigo-dyed and plant-dyed beckoning cat (maneki-neko) decorations, and original carpets with a modern depiction of a map of Asakusa. A new superior room type that can accommodate up to five guests will also be introduced, with the bedroom and living area separated and a bathroom equipped with a washing area.
Inside the hotel, design elements that convey the climate and character of Asakusa, such as art pieces made from indigo-dyed tenugui hand towels, are arranged throughout.
