The Fiji Tourism Board has appointed Foresight Marketing and World Compass as its official agencies in Japan.
Foresight Marketing, which has strengths in promotions and public relations, and World Compass, which has a proven track record in aviation, trade, and event management, will jointly operate the representation. In Japan, the contact point and overall project leader will be Mr. Shigeyoshi Noto, President and CEO of Foresight Marketing.
Paresh Pant, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Fiji Tourism Board, commented, “Japan is a strategically important market for Tourism Fiji. We were looking for partners who not only have deep insight into the Japanese market but can also provide a unified and responsible structure. Foresight Marketing and World Compass are a team that combines advanced strategic thinking with excellent execution. With the brand philosophy shared by both companies, ‘Where Happiness Comes Naturally’ for Fiji, and an integrated approach that combines trade, PR, and events, we are highly confident in their ability to genuinely connect with Japanese travelers.”
The immediate goal is to make use of Fiji Airways’ Tokyo/Narita–Nadi route and achieve 14,000 Japanese visitors annually. To this end, a 12‑month integrated growth plan has been formulated, including B2B trade initiatives, consumer campaigns, and targeted activities utilizing media and influencers.
The contract with the previous agency, Biz-M Asia, ended on January 31, after which an open call for applications was conducted. The initial contract period is two years.
