Karakami HOTELS & RESORTS acquired Hotel Hamahiga Island Resort on March 31, marking its first expansion into Okinawa Prefecture, Japan.
The four-story property offers 29 guest rooms in five types: superior twin, family room, Japanese-Western room, twin room, and single room. Facilities include “Yukui-dokoro Muruku,” a restaurant serving Okinawan local cuisine, the lounge “Chagua,” an outdoor pool, and a scenic public bath on the top fourth floor.
Access: approximately 70 minutes by car from Naha Airport. The hotel is located on Hamahiga Island, off the central eastern coast of Okinawa’s main island, and is accessible by land via the Kaichu Road and Hamahiga Bridge. Muruku Beach is a 3-minute walk from the property.
