Raffles Hotel Singapore Opens “1887 by André” Fine Dining Restaurant
Hotel Nikko Niigata will renovate guest rooms on the upper 28th and 29th floors from January through May, and partially open the renovated rooms in advance from late April.
After the renovation, the 28th and 29th floors will be rebranded as the “Prime Floor niigata Plus,” featuring 45 rooms across 9 types, including standard single, twin, and double rooms. The guest rooms will have brown-based carpeting accented with gold inspired by the Sado Island gold mines, incorporating design elements reminiscent of kintsugi (traditional Japanese gold joinery). Yellow-green cushions evoking rice ears will be placed on the beds and sofas, and paper-cutting brand “Kizamu” will provide wall art depicting landscapes of Niigata and Sado. Different designs will be adopted according to the room orientation and view. All renovated rooms except suites will be equipped with Nespresso coffee machines and Refa hair dryers and shower heads. Deluxe single rooms will feature large sofas, and toilet facilities, amenities, and air-conditioning equipment will also be updated.
In the common areas, the hallway carpet will be replaced, and elevator halls on each floor will feature designs inspired by the tobishima daylily and Japanese crested ibis, both associated with Niigata Prefecture.
