Japan Hotel REIT to Acquire Hyatt Regency Tokyo and Add Extended-Stay Rooms
Mitsui Garden Hotel Okayama will reopen after renovation on August 9.
The design concept is “Blooming.” Inspired by the nature and famous scenic spots of Okayama, known as the “Land of Sunshine,” designs and artworks have been incorporated throughout the hotel, including guest rooms and the large public bath. The 297 guest rooms have been fully renewed into four types: 118 Standard Double rooms, 56 Standard Queen rooms, 72 Standard Twin rooms, and 51 Superior Twin rooms. By reconfiguring two existing rooms into one, the number of rooms that can accommodate up to three guests has been increased from 8 to 51. Interior finishes, furniture, amenities, and water-area facilities have been replaced in all guest rooms.
The large public bath has been renewed in both design and layout, with additional washing stations installed and a new powder space added in the women’s changing room. In the bath’s courtyard, plantings that evoke the nature of Okayama have been arranged. A laundry room has been set up on the second floor, equipped with items such as irons and trouser presses.
