
Lufthansa and Lufthansa CityLine Cabin Crew Union to Strike on April 15–16
Air India has selected Panasonic Avionics as its provider for maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of its in-flight entertainment systems.
Panasonic Avionics will provide a total care package for the in-flight entertainment systems on 74 Air India aircraft, including maintenance and support. The scope also covers new installations and retrofit programs for the “Astrova” and X Series systems. New maintenance bases will be established in Mumbai and New Delhi, India.
The aircraft types covered include the Boeing 787-9, Airbus A350-1000, Airbus A350-900, and Airbus A321neo. The selection is part of Air India’s comprehensive fleet renewal and modernization strategy. According to the airline, this will minimize operational disruptions, maximize aircraft utilization, and enhance the passenger experience.
