IHG Hotels & Resorts Launches ‘Stay 3 Nights, Get 1 Night Free’ Resort Campaign in Asia-Pacific
Tokyu Resorts & Stays will open Tokyu Stay Mercure Hiroshima on May 18.
The hotel will have 182 guest rooms. In the rooms, there will be small storage boxes made of domestically produced indigo-blue denim, inspired by Bingo-kasuri (a traditional textile pattern from the Bingo region of Japan).
To coincide with the opening, the company is collaborating with Culture Convenience Club to open SHARE LOUNGE spaces on the 1st floor, mezzanine, and 2nd floor. The lounge spans three floors with an open atrium design: the 1st floor will be a communication zone centered around books, food, and drinks; the mezzanine level will be a relaxation area overlooking the city streets where Hiroshima’s streetcars run; and the 2nd floor will be a workspace suitable for individual work. Staying guests will be able to use some of the SHARE LOUNGE services free of charge during their stay.
For breakfast, the hotel will partner with Hiroshima-based bakery Aloft to offer a buffet featuring 10–12 varieties of bread each day, including sandwiches, savory breads, and original hotel breads made with local ingredients and prepared with minimal use of preservatives and additives. The hotel will also collaborate with MOUNT COFFEE, a specialty coffee roaster in Hiroshima, to provide two types of blended coffee themed on Hiroshima’s mountains and rivers.
Access: A 2-minute walk from Hatchobori Station on the Hiroshima Electric Railway.
