United Airlines will hold “MileagePlus Member Appreciation Month 2026” from May 1 to 31 in Japan.
As a MileagePlus Exclusive, United will offer a limited dinner event at Fairmont Tokyo on June 4 (75,000 miles for two people, limited to 20 pairs), home delivery of an American craft beer set (2,000 miles, first 100 members), and a pair of S-seat tickets (15,000 miles) for the musical “BOOP! The Musical” staged in Tokyo and Osaka.
In addition, 30 people will be selected by lottery to receive a 100th Anniversary Commemorative Goods Set. The annual tour to the United States, which is offered every year, is scheduled to take place in September.
The conversion rate for exchanging miles to Rakuten Points in Japan will be increased by 20%, allowing 1,000 miles to be exchanged for 480 points. At ANA DUTY FREE SHOP in Japan, 500 members will be selected by lottery to receive 500 miles.
United will also offer enrollment bonuses for applications for affiliated credit cards in Japan. Members can earn up to 126,000 miles through enrollment and card usage. Conditions vary by card.
