VIA INN Shin-Osaka West began offering its themed guest room, the “500 Series Shinkansen Room,” on May 1.
This special room is themed around JR West’s 500 Series Shinkansen, a Japanese bullet train scheduled to be retired around 2027. There are two such guest rooms in total, each created under the concept of “recreating and experiencing the 500 Series Shinkansen as it is,” with different settings that reflect the train in its heyday and in the present day. In addition to installing actual markings, stickers, seats, and other parts used on the real 500 Series and related trains, the rooms display reproductions of valuable posters and pamphlets from the past. The cushions and foot throws are prepared in original designs created specially for this room.
The rate per person starts from 6,000 yen (tax included) when two people share one room.
