Shinagawa Prince Hotel Introduces New Fitness Room
Hilton Tokyo began offering its Chinese afternoon tea “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” on April 28.
The afternoon tea stand features nine savory items themed on episodes from the classic Chinese historical novel, including a dish of jellyfish and smoked duck inspired by the beauty Diao Chan, a salad of steamed chicken inspired by a famous scene symbolizing the beginning of the Three Kingdoms saga, and a dish that evokes Zhuge Liang’s brilliant stratagem of “borrowing 100,000 arrows from the enemy camp.” In addition, the menu includes the soup “Strategy to Divide the Realm into Three,” made with shrimp, crab meat and other ingredients, and the main dish “Battle of Red Cliffs,” which represents the moment when fire raced across the water and turned the tide of war, featuring low-temperature cooked Japanese Black wagyu stir-fried with chili peppers and Sichuan pepper. Guests can also enjoy freshly prepared dim sum as much as they like, such as jade-colored matcha shrimp steamed dumplings, lavender-colored pork and vegetable dumplings, and rice paper spring rolls filled with seafood.
Desserts include four types such as almond tofu inspired by the beautiful sisters Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao who appear in Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and rice dumplings themed on Sun Shangxiang, along with a glass of lychee jelly. Beverages begin with peach oolong tea, followed by a choice of one Chinese tea inspired by female characters from the story—Diao Chan, Sun Shangxiang, Zhen Ji, Da Qiao, or Xiao Qiao.
The venue is Dynasty, the Chinese restaurant on the second floor. It is served from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The price is 7,480 yen on weekdays and 7,980 yen on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, tax and service charge included.
