ANA Introduces Cooling Fan Vests for Ground Handling Staff and Mechanics as a Measure Against the Scorching Summer Heat
All Nippon Airways (ANA) will restrict and change some domestic flight services in line with the migration of its domestic passenger service system.
The migration period is scheduled from May 19 to June 9. During this time, restrictions and differences between airports will occur in some domestic services. The timing of the system integration will differ by airport: Fukushima, Tokyo/Narita, and Saga on May 20; Rishiri, Asahikawa, Yamaguchi/Ube, Goto-Fukue, Okinawa/Naha, Miyako, and Ishigaki on May 27; Okhotsk-Mombetsu, Obihiro, Odate-Noshiro, Shonai, Tokyo/Haneda, Hachijojima, Noto, Osaka/Kansai, Iwakuni, Tottori, Yonago, Hagi-Iwami, Tokushima, Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Nagasaki, Tsushima, and Iki on June 3; and all other airports on June 10.
For reserved flights departing from airports before system integration, seat selection will not be available from 48 hours to 24 hours prior to departure time. For fares that allow advance seat selection, if 48 hours prior to departure time has passed, seats can be selected during online check-in or at the counter. From 24 hours prior to departure time, the “Change Seat” and “Begin Check-in” buttons will no longer be displayed on the top screen of the ANA app. Online check-in, seat changes, and other operations can be performed via the newly displayed “Start Check-in / View Booking” button.
When requesting to be waitlisted for a flight change, the service details and procedures will differ between airports before and after system integration. At airports before system integration, it will not be possible to apply for upgrade waitlisting, and even after integration, upgrades will only be handled at the airport counter and will not be accepted via the website or app. When connecting from an airport before system integration to an airport after integration, self-service check-in machines may not be available.
For flights operated by partner airlines (AIRDO, Solaseed Air, Star Flyer, Ibex Airlines, Oriental Air Bridge), online check-in will be available on each partner airline’s website for flights departing from airports after system integration. If the first sector is an ANA-operated flight and you are connecting to an eligible partner airline flight with through check-in available, you can complete online check-in via ANA’s website or app.
Due to the fare renewal associated with the revamp of the domestic passenger service system, flights up to May 18 cannot be changed to flights on or after May 19. Regardless of the fare type, if you wish to change your itinerary for personal reasons, you must first request a refund and then make a new booking for your desired itinerary.
