Japan Airlines (JAL) will change the conversion rate for its WAON e-money award on June 1.
Currently, 10,000 miles can be converted to 10,000 WAON, with an annual exchange limit of 20,000 miles per fiscal year. From June 1, the rates will be 3,000 miles = 1,500 WAON and 10,000 miles = 11,000 WAON, and the exchange limit will be abolished.
The maximum WAON balance that can be stored on a card is 50,000 yen. If this limit is exceeded, the balance must be downloaded to the card in multiple transactions. (Image: JAL)
