oneworld has announced that Philippine Airlines will join the alliance.
A memorandum of understanding was signed at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Annual General Meeting being held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The oneworld Governing Board has invited Philippine Airlines as a oneworld connect member airline.
Philippine Airlines was founded in 1941. It serves 29 cities within the Philippines and 40 cities across Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East. It will become the 16th member airline of oneworld. A total of 31 new cities will be added to the oneworld network.
