Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines have fully launched their joint business and introduced joint fares for the Singapore–Kuala Lumpur route.
The new joint fares are based on the two airlines’ existing codeshare partnership and will expand fare options between the two cities while enhancing connectivity across both networks. Going forward, they will gradually introduce additional customer benefits, including reciprocal lounge access, coordinated flight schedules, and joint corporate travel arrangements.
Since signing a commercial cooperation framework agreement in October 2019, the two airlines have been expanding their partnership. They currently operate codeshare services on routes covering Malaysia, Singapore, Europe, and South Africa, and in February 2024 they introduced mutual mileage accrual and redemption between their frequent flyer programs. In January, they received regulatory approval to operate the joint business.
