Finnair is set to commence year-round operations on the Helsinki-Tartu route from March 31st.
Flights from Helsinki will operate six days a week, excluding Saturdays, with two round trips per day. From Tartu, there will be two daily round trips on weekdays and one round trip on Saturdays and Sundays. The flights will be operated using ATR72-500 aircraft.
Tartu, the second largest city in Estonia, has been selected as the European Capital of Culture for 2024. This year, over 300 commemorative events are planned in Tartu and southern Estonia. The Estonian National Museum, which was influenced in design by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, is highly regarded for its bold incorporation of a former Soviet military runway.
