JR East View Travel Offers Overnight Group Trains for Japan’s Summer Fireworks Festivals
Tobu Top Tours began sales on May 7 for the tour “Tobu’s Oze: Oze Night 23:45,” which makes use of the special overnight train “Oze Night 23:45.”
“Oze Night 23:45” is a special overnight train operated by Tobu Railway on Fridays and Saturdays from June 5 to October 16. It departs from Asakusa Station in Tokyo at 11:45 p.m. and arrives the following morning at Aizu-Kogen-Ozeguchi Station in Fukushima Prefecture. From there, passengers transfer to buses heading to trailheads such as Komagatake Trailhead, Oze-Miike, and Oze-Numayama Pass.
Because the departure is late at night, passengers can board after finishing work on the weekend and start hiking or mountain climbing in Oze immediately upon arrival. For the return journey, both round-trip and one-way plans are available, with options to use Tobu Railway’s regular trains, the Joetsu Shinkansen, or highway buses. On some Saturday departures, a “relaxed two-seat use” option is available, in which the adjacent seat is kept empty.
The train used is the “Revaty” limited express, equipped with free Wi-Fi and power outlets. Details and reservation methods are provided on the special “Tobu’s Oze: Oze Night 23:45” webpage.
